Safety Director

My name is Becca Farrar and I am the corporate safety director for Drawdy Brothers Construction. I studied at the OSHA training institute of Georgia Tech. I have successfully completed the following courses earning a certificate of completion for construction safety on February 11, 2005 and a certificate of completion for general industry on February 25, 2005.

I hold training certificates in forklifts, first aid training, and OSHA 10 hour and 30 hours for construction. This being said all training is performed in house to ensure that the training is accurate as it pertains to our area of work.
Drawdy Brothers Construction has a zero tolerance for blatant disregard for the safety and well being of our employees. Our primary concern is the preservation of human life because every employee is important to us. It is our belief that ALL accidents can and should be prevented. The primary objective of Drawdy Brothers is to maintain an exceptional safety program, eliminate accidents as well as hazards, and comply with all applicable OSHA standards.
Training
- New Hire Orientation
- All new employees are put through a three-hour new hire orientation, which extensively trains the employee on Scaffolding, Ladders, and Fall Protection. The literature and training are in English and Spanish.
- First Aid
- All our foremen are First Aid trained through the Red Cross. Becca is an authorized outreach trainer for the Red Cross.
- OSHA 10 & 30 Hour
- All our foreman are either 10 or 30 hour trained and some of our lead carpenters are 10 hour card holders.
- Operator Training
- Our operator training classes covers snorkel lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts. Upon successful completion, the operator will be given a wallet card and a yellow hard-hat sticker.
- Weekly Toolbox Talks
- All our foremen have weekly toolbox talks, that are relative to our industry, that they conduct with their crews on Tuesday.
- Job Specific Training

Tilt wall training is conducted onsite the day we begin standing panels.
Foremen conduct daily training.
Primary Goal
All employees go home at the end of the day to see their families.
